mexico city again | mexico

travel October 4, 2014

I loved flying in and out of Mexico City – It is one of those places that looks amazing from above. At night time it is covered in a seemingly endless blanket of lights, and during the day is a grey backdrop with every possible colour under the sun scattered throughout. It had also began to give me the same feeling as when flying into Wellington and Melbourne – knowing that this was a place that I could always come back to and feel welcomed.

During my time there I had been treated like part of the family, and the longer I was there, the more I wanted to experience and see. I felt that there was not enough time left to do all I wanted to and as my list kept growing I knew that I would just have to come back again – to another place to call home.

guadalajara | mexico

travel October 3, 2014

Guadalajara was a beautiful place, full of people riding bikes, amazing museums and of course some of the best tequila! For the first time on my journey I didn’t really feel like making conversation and simply walked the streets, saw the sights and observed from an outside perspective.

I felt that before I had even really seen Guadalajara I was leaving on a 10hr bus trip across Mexico into Mexico City, but that was ok for me at this stage of my trip as I knew I would have another chance to experience this city in the proper manner. I was looking forward to going back to the place where I began, to explore and spend my last few days in the company of mis papas.
